WHERE WILL THE SESSION BE?
I am a natural light, on-location photographer. Our options for locations are limitless; that can mean your house, your yard, your favorite park, that really great building down the street, the beach, the abandoned railroad tracks...etc.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?
The session will last anywhere from one to two hours with as many stops as are needed for food or diaper / bathroom breaks, especially with young children.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Once you book your session with me an information packet will be sent to you with suggestions and tips.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A SESSION?
Within 1 week of our session I will post a "teaser" image or two from our session on my blog, so be sure to check it out! Within two weeks of your session, all of your proofs will be online here on the website in a password protected proofing gallery. You will place your order and all prints will be delivered two to four weeks. Custom work orders are placed through me and can take between four and six weeks.

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Newborn sessions are best done within the first two weeks of the baby being born. I prefer the first week simply because they are still usually very sleepy and able to be put into the newborn style poses that everyone loves. When you schedule your maternity session or just your newborn session, you'll tell me when you are due and we will make a tentative session date for the Saturday or Sunday following your due date. Obviously, as babies don't like to follow schedules, we will adjust as needed. Once the baby is born, you will call or email me to let me know and we will go from there!

WHERE WILL MY NEWBORN SESSION BE HELD?
I always do newborn sessions in your home or a location of your choosing. I prefer your home because then we can incorporate parts of your house into the photos - whether it be your dining room table or the great rocking chair that you have in your nursery. I also love to use parents' beds so, really, be open to me taking pictures in any room once I get there! And of course we can clean around things as we go. No one expects a house with a newborn to be spotless!

HOW LONG WILL A NEWBORN SESSION TAKE?
I allow extra time for newborns, so the sessions are a little longer than others. These sessions can take up to three hours because I really like to relax and take my time with the families, the babies, the poses and the shots. We may also need extra time to get the baby to fall asleep or for feedings.

HOW CAN WE BEST PREPARE FOR A NEWBORN SESSION?
Once you book your session with me an information packet will be sent to you with suggestions and tips.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW?
Only that I ask that you trust me with your child. I understand the difficulty in handing over your child, a new baby, to someone you do not know. You also may not always see the picture I see in my head, but if we work together we can get some amazing shots that you will treasure for years to come.
